The vision of the founders is that Camp Camelot will serve to inspire both children and adults to live an extraordinary life. It is the intention to build a Camp and a program that will provide an experience that money can not buy. A life changing experience that touches peoples hearts at a level so deep that when they leave – their life will never be the same again. At its basic core Camp Camelot is about Inspiring children and adults to live their dreams. But it is ultimately about getting them to BELIEVE in what’s POSSIBLE. When a human beings soul is awakened to what is possible, magic happens. When a human being BELIEVES…. Magic happens. If we can facilitate a learning environment that touches children’s hearts and minds in such a way that they truly believe they matter and can make a difference, the world will be a better place. It is the “Pebble in the Pond” theory. One person, helping one person, helping one person starts a ripple effect that can change a community, a nation an ultimately the world. It begins with believing in oneself and what is possible… it begins with an awakening of the spirit.

Camp Camelot intends to do this by developing a curriculum that instills, teaches and nurtures such skills or character traits as Integrity, Courage, Leadership, Teamwork, Perseverance, Compassion and Tolerance. Through experiential learning, adventure, music, and a variety of traditional camp activities Camp Camelot strives to change people’s hearts, give focus to their higher purpose and mission and provide tools to go out into the world and live an extraordinary life free of limiting beliefs. To provide an environment geared to Dreaming Big Dreams and strengthening the spirit to go out and make those dreams a reality.

Camp Camelot will serve both Children and adults with 70% of it’ programs being designed for children between the ages of 8 and 18. Camp Camelot will seek to provide the camp experience to at risk children through means of sponsorship. Camp Camelot will also serve a variety of other groups that can benefit greatly from an Inspirational Camp experience such as mother’s and daughters, fathers and sons, family camp, people in recovery from drugs and alcohol, cancer survivors, abused men and women to name a few. Camp Camelot will have sessions set aside to service these specialty groups outside of the traditional summer camp season.

Camp Camelot’s founders believe that all of us ultimately want our lives to mean something…. To be about something greater than ourselves. To know that we matter, that we are good enough and that we belong. We believe that by teaching skills and creating an environment that bolsters the human spirit rather than tearing it down, that we can impact the world, one child one person at a time. That by teaching, encouraging, cheerleading and believing in each other that we can help each other to make the world a better place. That we can inspire each camp attendee to dream big dreams and believe in the possibilities that life has to offer, thus beginning the ripple effect in the pond.
